Albert Henry Newman Collection
The Albert Henry Newman Collection contains correspondence to and from Newman, a prominent Baptist Church Historian, from 1926 to 1933; correspondence between Spencer B. King, Jr. and Frederick Eby (1956) pertaining to a biographical sketch of Newman for the Encyclopedia of Southern Baptists; Newman’s lecture notes on church history; and the book A Manual of Church History by T. J. Morgan (1880).
Arthur L. Rich Collection
This collection contains Arthur Rich’s Music Department scrapbooks. It also holds some sheet music, one written in Italian.
Bartow D. Ragsdale Collection
Box 1 contains correspondence, account papers, and Bursar records. Box 2 contains speeches, sermons, and other materials related to his work in the Baptist denomination. Box 3 contains copper plate lithographs used in the printing of The Story of Georgia Baptists.
Benjamin Osgood Peirce Collection
The collection contains mostly letters between Peirce, his wife, and his parents (1812-83) while he was at Penfield. The letters discuss personal, family, and school matters. Most of these items are photocopies.
Burt P. Richardson Collection
The Richardson collection contains three notebooks of class/lecture notes. One is dated 1903 and the other two are undated.
Charles H. Stone Collection
In this collection, there are different papers describing Charles Stone’s career as a librarian and librarian emeritus, such as poems, research, clippings, reports, etc.
Eric Klingelhofer Collection
The Eric Klingelhofer Collection contains two folders of materials related to the Faculty Welfare Committee at Mercer University: one covering 1990-93 and another 1994-96. Correspondence, meeting notes, and handouts are included and deal with issues such as faculty salaries, sabbatical policies, and University policies on faculty members’ consulting or taking other jobs outside their University duties.
Harry Stone Strozier Collection
Henry H. Tucker Collection
The Henry H. Tucker collection contains one account book. The financial transactions in the front of the book were recorded in 1884 and 1885. The back of the book contains clippings which have been glued to the pages. Most clippings are reviews of Tucker’s book, The Old Theology Restated.
